Celebrate Mom on her special day in Old Town at this free community event presented by the City of Albuquerque. Dance the afternoon away as you enjoy performances by Ballet Folklorico de Aztlan, Mariachi Xochitl, and Black Pearl Band NM. Grab a bite to eat from a local food truck or savor a meal in an Old Town restaurant. Lucky Paws will also be in attendance with pet adoptions so you can find your next four-legged family member. The free kids’ activities will entertain with face painting and a climbing wall. There will be plenty of shopping to find a special gift for the mothers in your life. It’s the perfect way to celebrate with the family!
Ballet Folklorico De Aztlan is a folklorico dance group dedicated to learning, preserving, and celebrating the rich traditions of Mexico through dance. Featuring talented performers ages 5–18, the group shares vibrant cultural performances that highlight the beauty, history, and pride of Mexican heritage while inspiring youth through creativity, culture, and community.
Mariachi Xochitl is a vibrant ensemble dedicated to preserving the rich tradition of mariachi music through powerful vocals, dynamic instrumentation, and heartfelt performances. Known for bringing energy, authenticity, and cultural pride to every stage, the group blends classic mariachi repertoire with their own spirited style.
Black Pearl Band NM is a 10-member, horn-driven variety band formed in 2008. The award-winning group performs a high-energy mix of Top 40, Old School, Country, Oldies, Rancheras, Blues, and Cumbias, delivering professional and engaging performances for audiences of all kinds.
Food
Enjoy a bite to eat from local food trucks including CCR Roasting, Rando's 505 and more. Old Town restaurants will be joining in on the celebration, ready with their signature plates and specials.
Enjoy a fun day in Historic Old Town for the whole family! Kids can get creative with free face painting and test their climbing skills on the 25’ rock wall provided by the Department of Parks & Recreation.

Getting to the Celebration
This event is held in Historic Old Town. Streets around Old Town will be closed to traffic for the celebration. Please plan accordingly and be mindful of residents and all posted parking signs in the area. Free parking will be available at the Albuquerque Museum.

Mother's Day in Old Town is a rain or shine event. Well behaved pets on a leash are welcome.
Opportunities for vending at Old Town events are reserved for Old Town Merchants.
